Grade 10 and 11 students at Choithram School recently took part in a videoconference with students from Huong Can High School in Vietnam. During the conference, the students from Huong Can High School shared insightful details about their culture, specifically focusing on Tết, which is the Lunar New Year and a significant event in Vietnamese culture. Tết is a time when families come together and celebrate. The students from Huong Can High School also discussed the traditional dishes they eat and the customs they observe during this festival. They also talked about the New Rice festival of the Muong in PhuTho, where the people of Vietnam enjoy a leaf feast cuisine called five coloured sticky rice. In addition, the students showed a dance on the screen while singing with great enthusiasm and a captivating melody. The students from Choithram School impressed their Vietnamese peers by reciting a prayer in Hindi, followed by a Hindi song about friendship.
