Immersion into the Culture of Rajasthan
The students and teachers got an insight into the culture of Maharashtra during the morning assembly of August 5, 2017 as the students of class 7 performed Gondhad folk dance of Maharashtra, sang Marathi patriotic song ‘He RashtraDevatanche’ and presented a piece of instrumental music on the bhajan of Maharashtra ‘KeshavMadhavaAbhang’. They showcased their scrapbooks incorporating various facets of the culture of Maharashtra viz., location, family and relationships, dance and music, art and crafts, cuisine, places of tourist interest, important traditions, beliefs and spoke some greetings in Marathi. Warli art paintings, beautiful tohranswarli craft on pots and lord Ganesha idols prepared by the students during their CCA periods were also displayed. Class 7 students had studied about the state of Rajasthan during the period June – July 2017.
