On July 3, 2024, the Senior Montessori students celebrated International Plastic Bag Free Day in collaboration with Birla High School, Kolkata. The event aimed to create awareness and encourage environmental responsibility toward protecting our planet.

As part of the celebration, the children created attractive and functional bags using newspapers decorated with a variety of prints. This hands-on activity not only highlighted their creativity and artistic skills but also emphasized the importance of adopting sustainable alternatives to single-use plastic bags. The students also participated in a sorting activity where they identified and differentiated eco-friendly, reusable items from plastic products.

Through these meaningful activities, the children demonstrated how simple and thoughtful actions can contribute significantly toward building a cleaner and healthier environment.
