A Vibrant Canvas of Colours, Creativity & Imagination

A vibrant blend of colours, creativity, and imagination came alive at the Inter-School ART FEST 2026, transforming the campus into a dynamic canvas of artistic expression. The celebration began on an auspicious note with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Principal Ms. Chitralekha Kulkarni, in the gracious presence of eminent guests Shri Shankar Shinde, renowned artist, Ms. Urvi Gorey, distinguished alumna of Choithram School and accomplished artist, and Ms. Madhavi Ektare, accomplished artist and proud parent of a Choithram School student. Bringing together young and passionate artists from 25 schools, the festival offered a vibrant showcase of imagination, originality, and artistic excellence.

Participants enthusiastically explored their creativity through a fascinating array of competitions including Hand in Clay – Emotions in Clay, Mystery Box Art, Paper Bag Decoration – My Green Earth, Portrait the Story, and Shades and Shadows – Shades of Humanity. With every stroke, shape, shade, and sculpted form, the young artists transformed simple materials into expressive works of art, reflecting remarkable craftsmanship, thoughtful ideas, originality, sensitivity, and a keen awareness of the world around them. More than a competition, ART FEST 2026 became a colourful celebration of imagination and self-expression, providing young artists with a platform to think beyond boundaries, embrace diverse perspectives, and express their ideas with confidence. The event beautifully reaffirmed that art has no limits, creativity knows no boundaries, and imagination is the beginning of every masterpiece.

A Proud Tribute to Tradition

Choithram School, Manik Bagh, proudly participated in the Turban Tying Competition held at Guru Harkishan Public School. Representing the school, Japman Singh Ghai of Class XII-C and Gurpreet Singh Bhatia of Class VIII-D showcased exceptional skill, confidence, and precision in the traditional art of turban tying. Accompanied by Mrs. Harvinder Kaur Shairy, the students delivered an impressive presentation that earned the Best Presentation Award. Choithram School, Manik Bagh, proudly participated in the prestigious Inter-School Marathi Group Song Competition organised by Sanand Marathi Group at the DAVV Auditorium. A contingent of 19 students, accompanied by the Performing Arts Team, represented the school with immense pride. Both the Junior and Senior Groups enthralled the audience with their melodious performances, displaying exceptional harmony, confidence, and musical excellence. Their disciplined rehearsals, unwavering dedication, and remarkable teamwork earned appreciation from the audience and judges alike. Adding another feather to the school’s cap, the Senior Group secured the Second Position, reflecting the students’ perseverance and the inspiring guidance of their mentors. The competition also provided an enriching opportunity to celebrate the vibrant heritage of Marathi music, refine artistic expression, strengthen stage presence, and gain valuable inter-school cultural exposure.

Voices of Tomorrow Lead the Way at CNMUN 2026

Choithram National Model United Nations (CNMUN) 2026 was held at Choithram North Campus, Napaina, under the theme IMPERIUM OF MINDS. A total of 20 students participated in various committees, where they debated important global and national issues and engaged in negotiations and resolution drafting. The conference provided an excellent platform for students to develop leadership, diplomacy, analytical thinking, teamwork, and public speaking skills. Their confidence, preparation, and ability to present well-reasoned arguments were commendable. The event concluded with an award ceremony recognizing outstanding delegates and committees, making CNMUN 2026 a memorable and enriching learning experience for all participants. The students were accompanied by Mrs. Deepali Ahirrao.

CIMUN 2026 Strengthens Leadership and Communication Skills

July, 9th to 11th, 2026

A team of 28 students from Choithram School, Manik Bagh enthusiastically participated in the three-day Choithram International Model United Nations (CIMUN) 2026 held at Choithram International, Indore, accompanied by Mrs. Poonam Notani, HOD of the Social Science Department. The conference featured committees such as WHO, UNCTAD, UNHRC, BCCI, and SPECPOL, where delegates engaged in debates, negotiations, and resolution drafting on important global and national issues. The school achieved remarkable success, with several students winning Best Delegate, High Commendation, Special Mention, and Verbal Mention awards. The conference provided a valuable learning experience in diplomacy, public speaking, teamwork, leadership, and research while allowing students to interact with peers from different schools and broaden their perspectives.

Young Voices of CSMB Stand Out at YIP 2026

Thirteen students from Classes IX to XII of Choithram School, Manik Bagh enthusiastically participated in the 1st Round of the Youth Indian Parliament (YIP) 2026 organised by YIP Indore at Golden International School, Indore, accompanied by Mrs. Poonam Natani, HOD of the Social Science Department. The conference provided students with a realistic experience of the functioning of the Indian Parliament, where they represented the ruling and opposition parties, participated in Question Hour, parliamentary debates, policy discussions, and bill drafting sessions, and represented ministries such as Finance, Sports, Information Technology, Tourism, and Jal Jeevan while discussing important national issues and presenting practical legislative solutions. The students showcased exceptional confidence, leadership, and communication skills, earning prestigious recognitions in various categories, including Chief Speaker, Best Debater, Best Speaker, Best Opposition, Best Ruling Bench, Team Spirit, Best Leadership, and Most Valuable Participant. Adding to this proud achievement, the team has qualified for the second round at the State Level and will represent the school in Ahmedabad, bringing great pride to the institution.

Inter School Dance Drama -A Masterpiece in Motion

The junior school event based on the theme ‘Mythology’ commenced with a melodious song to welcome the participants of six renowned schools of Indore. The performances of the students captivated the audience through their graceful acts. The award ceremony marked the culmination of the event wherein the budding stars were felicitated for the best presentations. Choithram School (Manik Bagh), NDPS, EHIS and Choithram School (North Campus) were the winners. The judges Mr. Rajat Pawar and Mrs. Priya Gokhale congratulated the winners offering words of wisdom.

The highly anticipated Inter School Dance Event at Choithram School, Manik Bagh, took place on Saturday, September 14, 2024, in the school’s Sports Complex. The event began at 10:30 a.m., with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Ms. Tanisha Jangid, an esteemed alumnus of the school. She lit the ceremonial lamp, signaling the official start of the program.

The theme of the dance competition was ‘The World Around Us’ and students from various schools across the city showcased their exceptional talent and creativity. Schools such as Kids College, Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir, Delhi Public School Rau, Choithram School Nipania, Sanmati Higher Secondary School, Golden International School, Choithram School Manik Bagh, and Choithram International School IB World participated in the event.

The audience was left in awe as they watched mesmerizing performances, where young dancers brilliantly reflected the theme through captivating choreography and graceful movements. The event was a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and passion for dance.The day concluded with the distribution of certificates and gifts to all participants, acknowledging their efforts and talent. A delightful lunch followed, marking the end of a successful and joyous event.

An Inter-School Classical Kathak Dance event-‘Reverberations’

An Inter-School Classical Kathak Dance event-‘Reverberations’ was held on August 17, 2024, featuring talented dancers from 17 schools across the city. The event was a celebration of Indian culture showcasing the grace and skill of the art form.The panel included experts – Ms. Harshita Khandelwal Gupta, Choreographer and YouTuber, Ms. Ankita Agrawal, founder of Nritya Aaradhana Kendra and Ms. Nivedita Pandya, International Khajuraho Dance Festival participant.

The event began with the traditional invoking of the almighty with Ish Vandana followed by the welcoming of the guests. The graceful spins, facial expressions and synchronized movements along with the excellent choreography elevated the presentation. The judges in their address praised the young dancers for their hard work and the cultural richness displayed by the performers.

The top three performances were – Delhi Public School, Nipania, Emerald Heights International School and Choithram School, Manik Bagh. The event concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the School Head Girl Jamila Kalabhaiwala.

Western Dance Extravaganza at Choithram School

Choithram School hosted a mesmerizing Inter-School Western Dance Event for Montessori kids on October 14, 2023, that brought together 13 renowned schools of the city. The event began with great zest and excitement with an energetic welcome dance by the exuberant children of Nursery and Junior Montessori of the host school. Thereafter, the participants, dressed in colourful costumes, set the stage on fire with their enthralling and energetic performance. The enthusiasm and dedication of the children were truly remarkable. Anushree Goyal, a distinguished figure in the world of dance and the event’s chief guest, congratulated the participants and appreciated the performances. The Western Dance Event served as a shining example of the positive effects of arts education in early childhood. It showcased how a love for dance and music can help children develop essential life skills while having a lot of fun.

Inter School Group Fancy Dress Event was organised in Primary Wing of Choithram School on November 23, 2022. The event was headed by the school Principal Mr. Rajesh Awasthi. Over five renowned schools of Indore i.e. The Emerald Heights International School, Prestige Public School, Chameli Devi Public School, Tirathbai Kalachand School and host school Choithram School participated with full zeal and enthusiasm.

The event began with a welcome dance followed by the presentations by the participants on the theme ‘environmental degradation’. Young kids of different schools gave their best and came up with various means by which we can Save Mother Earth and spread awareness about it. The participants of all the schools captivated the hearts of audience through their graceful acts and colourful attires. A positive and charming aura was created with the charismatic performances of kids. The event was made memorable by presenting participation certificates and gift hampers to all the lovely kids followed by motivational words by the judges. The culminating song presented by school choir was mesmerizing.

Choithram School hosted Interschool Folk Dance Event on September 7, 2019 under the aegis of Reverberations with 10 leading schools battling it out on stage with intricate steps, graceful moves and pulsating beats. The panel of sagacious judges included Dr. Santosh Desai, renowned kathak dancer, Ms. Vidhi Nagar and Ms. Rekha Malviya. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the judges and the School Principal, followed by a scintillating welcome dance. Captivating performances from Golden International School, The Emerald Heights International School, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Vidyasagar School, National Public School, Tirathbai Kalachand School, Choithram School, North Campus, Prestige Public School, New Digamber Public School and host school Choithram School, Manik Bagh stole the show. Rhythmic movements, colourful attires and stylized gestures of the dancers reverberated the atmosphere. Attractive costumes, fluid dance movements and fascinating props and well-choreographed performances were the highlights of the programme. To unleash the potential and passion of the students, Choithram School, Manik Bagh hosted an Inter School TV Show under the aegis of ‘Reverberations’ on August 18, 2018. The event witnessed the creative genius of the students involving thinking and producing processes. Dr. Ragini Makkhar, a renowned kathak dancer was the guest of honour of the event. Mr. Rahul Bharade, art director and visiting faculty EMRC, DAVV as well as Mr. Ashish Pillai, notable classical dancer were the judges for the event. The event started with the Shiv Vandana to invoke the deity for the blessings followed by presentations by 12 prestigious schools of the city. The participant schools were Choithram School, North Campus, The Emerald Heights International School, Golden International School, Tirathbai Kalachand Higher Secondary School, Vidhyanjali International School, Standard Public School, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Queens’ College, New Digamber Public School, The Millennium School, Sanmati Higher Secondary School and host school Choithram School, Manik Bagh.

A potpourri of music and dance captivated the audience with the magnificent performances. The TV anchors with their appealing anchoring skills compelled the audience to stay tuned to the show. The hilarious acts including advertisement, skit and discourse added flavour to the creative spectacle while the classical dance performances displayed the pouring of mind, spirit and emotions of the students. The best three presentations were bagged by The Emerald Heights International School, New Digamber Public School and Choithram School, Manik Bagh.

The performers from the participating schools mesmerized the audience with their skillful performance of folk dances from different states of the country. Ms. Gillian Fraser, Global Citizenship Co-ordinator and Ms. Ellen Siv, Foundation stage teacher of Stoke Row C.E. Primary School, UK were the Chief Guests for the event. The Chief Guests gave away the certificates of participation and gift hampers to all the performers of the day.

The competition was judged by renowned musicians of the city, Mr. Kapil Purohit and Mr. Anup Pawar. The teams were judged for selection of the song, presentation, pronunciation, coordination, melody and rhythm.
