Students of grades 9 to 12 participated in a collaborative project, ‘Poems for Peace’, aligned with UN SDG 16, in July 2023. Initiated by Douglas County School District, Colorado, USA, the project aimed to promote peace through poetry. The submitted poems were evaluated by esteemed US writers -Hiram Larew, Brian Donnell, James, and Linda Dickman. Notably, Dance of Peace by Bhakti Sharma and Peace by Ojaswini Trivedi, both grade 9 students, received Honourable Mention for Poetry Excellence and Emotional Resonance, showcasing their profound understanding and expression of peace.
