Immersion into the Culture of Rajasthan
The students and teachers got an insight into the culture of Rajasthan during the morning assembly of July 29, 2017 as the students of class 6 performed Chirmi folk dance of Rajasthan, sang Rajasthani folk song ‘Rang RangeeliDharti’ and presented a piece of instrumental music on the folk song of Rajasthan ‘Palo Latke’. They showcased their scrapbooks incorporating various facets of the culture of Rajasthan viz., location, family and relationships, dance and music, art and crafts, cuisine, places of tourist interest, important traditions, beliefs and spoke some greetings in the Marwari dialect. Acrylic paintings with village figures, beautiful tohrans and toys made of mud art prepared by the students during their CCA periods were also displayed. Class 6 students had studied about the state of Rajasthan during the period June – July 2017.
