The Personality Development Club has been introduced to groom the personality of students and bring positive changes in them.

Tie and Dye Activity

A tie and dye activity was onducted for the students of grades 4 and 5, wherein they had the opportunity to learn this unique technique. The process involved folding, twisting, and crumpling the fabric, followed by securing it with rubber bands and applying various colors. The students were amazed by the vibrant and intricate patterns that emerged on the fabric.

Etiquettes

It is essential to treat everyone with respect, regardless of their age or differences from us. To instill this value in grade 1 students, an activity was organized to focuse on the importance of greetings. Additionally, students were taught how to tie their shoe laces to help them present themselves neatly and confidently. The children actively participated in both activities.

Personal Grooming and Hygiene

Good hygiene is critical for preventing the spread of infectious diseases and helping children lead long, healthy lives. Taking cue from this, a session on ‘Personal Grooming and Hygiene’ was organized by Personality Development Club for the students of classes IV & V, wherein Dr. Nivriti Mishra, mother of Vaidik Mishra was invited to enlighten the children about the importance of personal hygiene and grooming. Various tips for maintaining good hygiene and being well groomed were shared by Dr. Nivriti.

My Daily Routine

Having a routine helps to bring comfort to children’s life, as well as assists in setting up a routine. It also helps to boost their mental and physical health. Taking cue from this, an activity was conducted for students of classes III to V, wherein the children prepared a time-table depicting their daily routine. They participated in the activity with zeal and promised to follow the time-table religiously.

Greeting Culture

Teaching children how to greet people helps to develop their social skills and manners. Greetings set the tone for all social interactions, including making new friends and navigating the world outside the home. Keeping this in mind,activities related to ‘Greeting Culture’ were planned for the students of classes III, IV and V. The children learnt both formal and informal ways of greeting others with warmth and confidence.

Spin a Yarn Activity

‘Spin a Yarn’ is an art and like any art it requires creativity, vision, skill and practice. To enhance the creativity and oratory skills of the students,’Spin a Yarn’ activity wasorganisedfor students of classes III to V.The activity brought to fore the imaginative skills of the students through the stories narrated by them.

All About Me

Knowing yourself is a journey. It is about discovering who you are as a human being – the real you. Taking cue from this, ‘Expressions – All About Me’ activity was planned by the Personality Development Club for classes III to V. As a part of the activity, the students were provided with a questionnaire based on exploring oneself, which was followed by a discussion based on it.

Basic Etiquettes and Table Manners

Good manners are always appreciated by everyone. Taking this into account, a demonstration on table manners was given to the students of classes III to V. To brush up the learning, an activity was planned by the mentors of Personality Development Club for the students, wherein they were asked to bring home-made soup, cutlery, napkin etc. from home.

Know Thyself

‘I am me, nothing more, nothing less, and that is enough.’ Taking cue from this, ‘Self Introduction’ activity was conducted for the students of classes III to V as a part of Personality Development Club. The aim of the activity was to boost confidence and enhance the oratory skills of the students. They interacted with new students and made themselves comfortable by knowing about each other.
