Grade 5 students of Choithram School participated in a global project on ‘UNSDG 13 Climate Action’ pioneered by Take Action Global (TAG), US based education nonprofit, which witnessed participation of more than 2.7 million students across 146 countries. The students listed local causes of climate change by answering comprehension worksheets. They showcased cause and effect of climate change through eye-catching posters. Solutions for this mammoth problem were highlighted through captivating slogans. Participating in declamation activity on Greta Thunberg and Vinisha Umashankar, environmentalists of Sweden and India respectively enabled the students to imbibe the message that ‘No one is too small to make a difference’. Lastly they prepared bird feeders and planted saplings to work for environmental sustainability.
