48th Annual Function of Choithram School: A Journey Towards Enlightenment

In a jubilant celebration of its 48th Annual Function on December 6, 2023, Choithram School welcomed esteemed guest Ms. Archana Sharma Awasthi (IRS), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Education, Government of India who is an illustrious alumnus from the 1988 batch. The theme of the evening, ‘Tamso Maa Jyotirgamaya,’ resonated deeply, urging all to transcend fear, failure, and disappointment in pursuit of enlightenment.

The ceremony commenced with the symbolic lighting of the lamp, accompanied by the unveiling of the logo of One Choithram by esteemed dignitaries. Vibrant cultural performances captivated the audience, commencing with an enchanting Vandana dance. The event transported attendees through a mesmerizing journey, from the launch of Chandrayaan to a riveting encounter with a scientist, chronicling their trials and triumphs in the pursuit of scientific heights.

The cultural kaleidoscope encompassed a rich tapestry of India’s diversity, featuring folk and western dances, an ode to Indian culture’s richness, and a powerful depiction of Jhansi ki Rani’s indomitable bravery. The spotlight shone on a dance drama celebrating Shivaji’s valour, leaving an indelible mark. Contemporary performances, an inspirational song, and a spellbinding orchestra added an extra layer of brilliance.

The Montessori segment cast a spell, transporting the audience into a world of whimsy and innocence, where they reveled in jungle adventures, indulged in childhood games, and savoured the joys of chocolate. Academic excellence took center stage with a prestigious prize distribution ceremony honoring achievers across various disciplines. The highly anticipated ‘Best Student’ award was jointly conferred upon Deval Maheshwari and Khushi Nanwani from the 2022-23 batch. Noteworthy sports achievers, Devesh Ahuja and Rishita Khabya, claimed Best Sportsperson Awards in Boys and Girls Category respectively. Acknowledging the nostalgia evoked by the event, Chief Guest Ms. Archana Sharma Awasthi (IRS) commended the programme for its heartfelt portrayal and its resonance with her own cherished school memories.

Cultural Fiesta on Golden Jubilee Celebration

Choithram School. Manik Bagh celebrated its Golden Jubilee on December 24, 2022 through an enthralling and memorable cultural fiesta showcasing saga of Choithram under the theme ‘Abhyuday.’ Honourable Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav was the chief guest of the day. The cultural bonanza showcased the progress made since inception in the form of personified iconic Mango tree which had been the apple of an eye in the iconic journey of Choithram School. Toddlers showcasing aesthetic, cognitive skills, street plays with profound messages, contemporary dance exhibiting philanthropic endeavors of the school, intercultural learning through dances of different countries, technological assimilation in curriculum through skit, entrepreneurial startups, good earth projects were served on platter through well knit cultural items presented through an impressive compering .Euphonic orchestra stole the show. Annual reports were presented by School Head Boy Deval Maheshwari and School head Girl Khushi Nanwani .School teaser , dedicated to 50 Years of the institution ,composed and sung by alumnus Aniket Joshi of 2012 batch, written by Mrs. Shilpa Khargoankar HOD Hindi Department , was aired and made everyone feel proud to be a part of Choithram Fraternity. School Souvenir was launched by Honourable mayor Mr. Pushymitra Bhargava, Mr. Satish Motiani, Chairman and Managing Trustee T. Choithram Foundation and Principal, Mr. Rajesh Awasthi. Academic, Cultural and Sport prodigies were presented with trophies and certificates. Mrs. Raminder Mac and Mrs. Kuldeep Kaur Chhabra were felicitated for being CBSE Best Teacher Award recipient. Programme ended with Vote of thanks proposed by Shrishti Jaisinghani, Head of Good Earth.

46th Annual Function of Choithram School

The 46th Annual Function of Choithram School, Manik Bagh on the theme ‘PRAKRATI RAKSHITA RAKSHATI’ voicing the pain of ailing planet – the mother Earth and a clarion call to retrieve its blissful past, was portrayed on Wednesday, December 4, 2019. The Managing Trustee of T. Choithram Foundation, Mr. Satish P. Motiani and Dr. Varun Kapoor (IPS) ADG Indore zone were the chief guests at the gleaming function. The function was also graced by Dr. Mohd. Bimba Byroh, Ambassador of Sierra Leone in Germany, his wife Mrs. Elizabeth Byroh, Mr. Kabba and his son Osman also from Sierre Leone. The programme commenced with the welcome song followed by senior girls paying obeisance to goddess Narmada in the Narmadashtak Aarti. The aliens as the narrators recalled the beautiful Earth and its creations and brought back the flora and fauna in the form of dances performed by the kindergarten kids. A plethora of dances and skits showcasing deforestation, water scarcity, pollution, plastic and e-waste demons and the green warriors, young ambassadors fighting them and creating a difference was profoundly conveyed. Principal’s annual report highlighting the academic achievements of the school students was read by School Head Girl Jyeshtha Mishra while Harnam Singh Chhabra, the School Head Boy enumerated the cultural achievements of the school students. Report on international achievements and intercultural learning was read by Rakshita Janjire, School Cultural Prefect.

The award for the best student of the year for the session 2018 – 2019 was bagged by Rishita Sethi. Avni Mudgal received the Best Sportsperson award in the girls’ category while Aman Gangwani received the Best Sportsperson award in the boys’ category. School toppers of Commerce, Maths, Biology, Business Administration and Humanities stream of class XII Board examination for the session 2018 – 2019 viz. Harsh Agrawal, Triansh Sharma, Yash Chandwani, Radhegovind Rathi and Raj Sahu (the School Topper Class XII) respectively, were felicitated. Students who won laurels at the various international and national level competitions during the present academic session 2019 – 2020 were also feted.

‘No education can be complete without the arts and creativity playing a central role in a child’s life’

The alfresco of Choithram School witnessed the glitz and glamour of Annual Day celebration on the theme ‘Manthan – An Introspection’ on December 1, 2018. Managing Trustee of T. Choithram Foundation, Mr. Satish P. Motiani was the chief guest on the occasion. Emotions pertaining to ego, anger, frustration and anxiety came alive on the stage with the puppets displaying style and resplendence. The cultural show began with the Welcome Song followed by the Ganesh Vandana by the senior school students. The Montessori presentations showcasing Panchtantra tale, ugly fairy skit and fairy dance created the visual feast for the audience as it displayed the innocence and joyfulness of childhood. A glittering bonanza of street play, musical performances, orchestra and dance presentations were staged highlighting how we ourselves are responsible for the emotional turmoil in our lives and how to regulate our emotions.

The Annual Reports of the school in the domain of academic achievements, cultural achievements and internationalism were read by School Head Boy, Akkshat Datta, School Head Girl, Rishita Sethi and School Deputy Head Girl, Yashika Rajani respectively. The award for the best student of the year for the session 2017 – 2018 was shared by Chelsea Sawlani and Aastha Vijaywargiya. Nandini Papriwal and Shantanu Shinde received the award for the Best Sports persons of the previous session. School toppers of Commerce, Science, Biology, Humanities and Business Administration stream of class XII Board examination for the session 2017 – 2018 – Agam Alya, Tanay Johari, Krishna Subedar, Purva Bhardwaj and Sarvagya Sharma along with class X topper – Muskan Jain were felicitated. Students who won laurels at the various international and national level competitions during the present academic session 2018 – 2019 were also feted. Vote of thanks was proposed by Cultural Prefect Priyal Agrawal.
