Assessment Scheme (SESSION : 2026 - 2027)
Classes VI to VIII:

In Classes VI to VIII, in Scholastic areas each term shall include two Internal Assessments of 30 percent weightage each and Term End Assessment of 40 percent weightage, where the Internal Assessments are based on subject enrichment activities and the Term End Examination is a formal written assessment. The design of the scheme is as follows:

Class IX & X :  

According to Remodeled Assessment structure of the CBSE for Classes IX and X, the overall assessment of a child is based on Internal Assessment of 20 Marks and Final Examination of 80 Marks where the Internal Assessment is based on Periodic tests, written assignments and subject enrichment activities; and the Term End Examination is a formal written examination. The design of the scheme is as follows:

The performance in the co-scholastic areas in classes VI to X is assessed by using rubrics designed for various co-curricular activities and the performance is graded on a five-point scale (For Classes IX & X) and three-point scale (For Classes VI to VIII) mentioned with the promotion rules. The students will also be assessed for discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others.

Class XI:

The Final Assessment of a child in Class XI is based on the cumulative performance calculated according to the following scheme of assessment:

Class XII:

The assessment of progress of a child in Class XII is based on two Unit tests, Half Yearly Examination and Pre-Board Examination. However, the Final Assessment will be on the basis of the scheme of assessment of the CBSE for class XII.

Feedback of Performance:
The feedback of performance and progress of children will be given to the parents in the form of:

  1. Subject Report (For Classes I to V), which tells about the strengths & weaknesses of children in a particular subject. It also suggests the remedial measures for better academic performance.
  2. Progress Report (For All Classes), where the overall performance of children in scholastic and co-scholastic areas is reported on the basis of marks/ grades scored by them in various assessments.

VI TO VIII

Promotion: To qualify for promotion to the next class, minimum 'D' Grade has to be scored collectively in Term I & II in each subject. Improvement: If 'E' grade is obtained in one or more subjects then the child shall appear in the Improvement of Performance (IOP) Test in the concerned subject/s. It is mandatory to appear in all Term End Assessments.

IX & X

Pass: Minimum 33 % Marks overall taken together in theory and practical/ Internal Assessment. It is mandatory to appear in Annual Examination.
Re-examination: Failure in up to two subjects.

XI

Pass:  Minimum 33 % Marks in theory as well as Practical/ Internal Assessment/ Project separately. It is mandatory to appear in Annual Examination.
Re-examination:   Failure only in one subject

XII

According to the CBSE the Pass criteria are as follows:
Pass:  1. Minimum 33 % in each subject in Final Board Examination conducted by the CBSE.
          2. In subjects where there is a practical/ Internal Assessment/ Project, minimum 33 % marks both in theory and practical/ Internal Assessment/ Project separately, is essential.
Re-examination: Failure only in one subject

Important Note:

All dates (as mentioned above) are tentative and the final date sheets will be announced before the Examinations/ Assessments. The dates are subject to change in case of any emergency and/or any unforeseen reasons. Examination dates declared through date sheets will not be rescheduled on account of leaves applied by the students. Parents are requested to check the final dates of assessments/ examinations at least one month before and then schedule their programmes.

Note:

  1. Trousers should be loose at the hips so as to cause no inconvenience during physical exercise. These should neither be drainpipes nor bell- bottoms. The bottom of the trousers should not be less than or more than 15 inches.
  2. Shirts to be loose under the armpits so as to cause no inconvenience during physical exercise.
  3. Skirt should be loose at the hips so as to cause no inconvenience during physical exercise.
  4. Comfortable white shoes for outdoor periods.

Sample of school uniform is displayed on school notice board outside the reception. The school does not recommend any particular shop for purchasing the uniform and books. Parents may purchase it from any shop they desire.
