Choithram School
Internationalism

To provide global exposure to the students and make them global citizens a number of activities are conducted in the school throughout the year.

  • Collaborative Projects with Schools Around the Globe:
  • Students of different age groups are engaged in various collaborative projects with different schools around the globe which provide them a window to look into the cultural richness of various countries as well as relearn their own culture. The students also participate in projects on global issues like Go Green, Water: Rights and Responsibilities, Global Warming and Cyber Bullying which enable them to analyze these issues critically and apply their learning. Skype sessions are conducted as a part of the process to widen the thought process of the students and bring them closer to their peers of other countries.
  • Celebrations:
  • Celebration of International Days, National Independence Days and Festivals of Different Countries
  • Student Exchange Programme:
  • To promote inter-cultural learning amongst students, the school has initiated student exchange programmes where students from different countries come and stay with the host families and the students from our school also go and stay with host families in different countries. This leads to deeper awareness of one's own culture and of other cultures and enables the students to accept people of diversified cultures.
  • Visitors From Abroad:
  • Visitors from different part of the world visit the school to update our students and teachers on various academic issues.
  • School Enterprise Challenge:
  • To hone the entrepreneurial skills of the students and enable them to become business leaders of tomorrow, the school is part of 'School Enterprise Challenge' an initiative of UK based charity 'Teach A Man to Fish'. As a part of this challenge, the students set up a business enterprise independently and use the profits to help the needy.
