Inter School Photography Event at Choithram School, Manik Bagh

October 19, 2016

‘Things can be made more beautiful through the eyes of a camera’. Choithram School, Manik Bagh hosted Inter School Photography Event under the aegis of Reverberations to give a new horizon to the nascent photographers on October 19, 2016. 14 leading schools of the city participated in this event wherein they exhibited their original photographs based on the theme ‘Monsoon’. Mr. Akhil Hardia, a renowned photographer was the judge of the event. The photographs were judged on the basis of theme relevancy, visual composition, presentation style and creativity. Mr. Hardia appreciated the initiative taken by the school for organising such a wonderful event and chiselled the photography skills of the future photographers by giving important tips. Photographs exhibited by Tirathbai Kalachand School, Vidyasagar School, Queens’ College and Choithram School, Manik Bagh schools were adjudged as the best. Nandini Gangrade and Ryna John conducted the programme while vote of thanks was proposed by Astha Vijaywargiya, the school Deputy Head Girl.

Inter School Western Dance Event at Choithram School, Manik Bagh

To nurture the dancing talent of young ones, Inter School Western Dance Event was organized by the school on the theme ‘Champions on the Floor’ on September 30, 2016 for students of classes 1 and 2. Parents of the school, Mrs. & Mr. Bagzai and Mrs. Muskan Raheja graced the occasion. Nine schools of the city participated in the event viz., Delhi Public School, Indus World School Jhalaria (Eastern campus), Indus World School (Central campus), Podar International School, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Queens’ College, Choithram School North Campus, Choithram School CBSE-i and Choithram School, Manik Bagh. All participants were given gift hampers and certificates. The children gave spectacular performances winning the hearts of the audience. The event ended with a motivational speech delivered by Mr. Bagzai encouraging the children and teachers to give their best in whatever they do.

Inter School Junior Master Chef Contest at Choithram School, Manik Bagh

‘Every salad you serve is a picture you have painted’. Keeping this in view, Choithram School, Manikbagh organized Inter School Junior Master Chef Contest for students of classes III, IV and V on August 30, 2016. Eight schools participated in the event and exhibited their culinary art. Beautiful presentation of fruits and vegetables offered a treat to eyes through the contest. Mrs. Rekha Verma, owner of ‘Healthy Eats’ and Mrs. Bhavana Pujari, Principal, Pragya Girls School were the guests. Participants were judged on the basis of presentation, cleanliness of the stall, creativity, neatness in cutting and carving. Presentations of Sri Satya Sai Vidya Vihar, Pragya Girls School, Choithram School and National Public School were judged as the best presentations.

Inter School Indian Classical Fusion Dance Event

August 6, 2016

Choithram School, Manik Bagh hosted Inter School Indian Classical Fusion Dance Event under the aegis of Reverberations on August 6, 2016 with 13 leading schools competing to set unparalleled high standards. The participant schools were Queens’ College, The Shishukunj International School, Shri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, The Emerald Heights International School, National Public School, Prestige Public School, Indus World School, Columbia Convent, Tirathbai Kalachand School, Choithram School, North Campus, Indore Public School , Choithram School CBSE-i and host school Choithram School, Manik Bagh. Mrs. Dalia Datta, an eminent Odissi dancer, was the chief guest of the day. The panel of judges included Ms. Manjusha Rajas Johari, Mr. Ashish Pillai and Ms. Surbhi Shitut. After seeking the blessings of the Almighty and lighting the ceremonial lamp the prodigious dancers in colourful attire and unique fusion performed in perfect rhythm and coordination. Presentations of The Emerald Heights International School, Choithram School North Campus and Choithram School Manik Bagh were adjudged as the three best presentations. The Chief Guest and the judges presented trophy and certificates to the winners. Vote of thanks was proposed by the Deputy Head Girl, Aastha Vijay wargiya.

To nurture this dancing talent Inter School Dance Event was organized by Choithram School (ManikBagh) on the Theme – Disney World on February 20, 2016 for students of classes I and II. The guests for the event were Mrs. Sheetal Gupta and Mr. Hitesh Gupta. Children from different schools participated in the event and added splendour to this show. Children left no stone unturned and rocked the stage with their mesmerizing and alluring performances.

Mrs. Madhvi Ektare, Junior Manager at V.E. Commercial Vehicles Private Limited and a parent of the school was the Chief Guest for the event. Participating teams received certificates and gift hampers from the Chief Guest.

Inter School Kathak Dance Event At Choithram School

August 27, 2015

Choithram School, Manik Bagh hosted the Inter School Kathak Dance Event under the aegis of Reverberations on August 27, 2015 with 11 leading schools battling it out on stage with intricate steps, graceful moves and pulsating beats. Mrs. Jayashree Tambe, an eminent kathak dancer of the country, was the Chief Guest of the day. The panel of sagacious judges included Ms. Vidhi Nagar, Ms. Sapna Namdev and Mrs. Priya Gokhle, all well-known personalities in the field of kathak. Ms. Charlotte Harris, Head Teacher, Stoke Row C. E. Primary School, Oxfordshire, UK and Ms. Gillian Fraser, Global Citizenship Co-ordinator of the same school were the guests of honour.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, judges and the School Principal followed by a scintillating welcome dance by the students of Choithram School. Captivating performances from Queens’ College, Bahavan’s Prominent, Colonel’s Academy, The Shishukunj International School, Shri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Vidyasagar School, National Public School, Tirathbai Kalachand School, Choithram School, North Campus and host school Choithram School, Manik Bagh stole the show. Rhythmic movements, colourful attires and stylized gestures of the dancers reverberated the atmosphere. Performances of National Public School, The Shishukunj International School and Choithram School, Manik Bagh were adjudged as the best presentations. The Chief Guest in her speech told about the origin of Kathak Dance and how Lord Krishna and his moves are displayed through Kathak. She congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of the school in arranging such a competition to keep alive the most graceful Indian classical dance form.

18 schools participated in Inter School Junior Master Chef Contest organized by Choithram School, Manik Bagh for students of classes 3, 4 and 5 on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 and exhibited their culinary art. Fireless, mouthwatering ‘healthy sandwiches’ offered a treat to the eyes as well as to taste buds through the Contest. Judges Mrs. Sandhya Meerchandani and Mrs. Chetna Shah judged the event on the basis of presentation, taste, neatness of the stall, healthfulness, creativity and appearance. Presentations of National Public School, Emerald Heights International School, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar and host school, Choithram Manik Bagh were adjudged as the best presentations. The participants’ creativity was revealed through the beautiful presentations, taste and nutritive value of different mouth watering ‘Healthy Desserts’. Mr. Sujeet Singh, Executive Chef, Radisson Blu Hotel judged the presentations and presented awards to The Millennium School, National Public School and host school, Choithram School.

Inter School Western Dance Event was organized by our school on February 18, 2015 for children of classes I and II under the aegis of Reverberations. The children dancing in vibrant costumes, dressed as fairies, transformed the stage into a ‘Fairy world’ which was the theme for the event. The pleasure and delight was visible on the innocent faces. Mrs. Bhavana Pujari, Principal Pragya Girls School and Secretary Indore Sahodaya Schools Complex was the Chief Guest at the function. The esteemed judges for the event Ms. Megha Sharma, Ms. Nivedita Pandya and Ms Smriti Aditya have been associated with the world of dance for the last 12 to 14 years. School Head Girl Charul Raheja spoke about the relevance of hosting the event while School Head Boy Shreyash Jain proposed the vote of thanks. Urvy Mudgal and Rugal Neema anchored the programme with aplomb. Inter School Panel Discussion At Choithram School, Manik Bagh November 12, 2013

Panel Discussion is an upcoming trend of healthy exchange of views and ideas which will foster greater levels amongst the youth of today. To hone this potential of students, Choithram School, Manik Bagh organized Inter School Panel Discussion event on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 for class XI students the topic of which was ‘Only Education Can End Exploitation of Women In Our Country’.

Ten prestigious schools of the city participated in the event, namely, The Shishukunj International School, The Emerald Heights International School, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Delhi Public School, Queens’ College, National Public School, Prestige Public School, Tirathbai Kalachand School, Choithram School, North Campus and host school Choithram School, Manik Bagh

Dr. (Mrs.) Janak Palta McGilligan, a renowned human rights activist working for the welfare of women was the chief guest at the function.  Dr. Janak Palta has been bestowed with many national and international awards for her notable work for the welfare of women and has travelled to 25 countries, many at the invitation of United Nations. Dr. (Ms.) Deepa Vanjani, Head of the Language Department, PMB Gujarati Science College; Dr. (Ms.) Geeta Nema, Reader in Management, IIPS, DAVV and Ms. Vaishakha Kutumble Lecturer School of Economics, DAVV were the esteemed judges of the event.

At the end of the discussion Dr. (Mrs.) Janak Palta apprised the audience about her work. She presented trophies to the best four presentations which were Delhi Public School, The Shishukunj International School, Queens’ College and host school Choithram School, Manik Bagh.

To hone the potential and ingenuity of students, Choithram School, Manik Bagh organized Inter School Kathak & Bharat Natyam Fusion Dance event on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 under the aegis of Reverberations for class VII to X students.

12 prestigious schools of the city participated in the event, namely, Advanced Academy, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, The Shishukunj International School, Colonel’s Academy, SICA S. S. School, Scheme No. 78, Prestige Public School, National Public School, The Emerald Heights International School, The Bhavans’ Prominent,  Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir, Choithram School, North Campus and host school Choithram School, Manik Bagh.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest and School Principal Mr. Rajesh Awasthi.  The esteemed judges for the event, Mr. Sanjay Mahajan, Mr. Ashish Pillai and Mrs. Vani Nigam are well known, eminent personalities in the field of kathak dance.

Reverberations as the term suggests refers to a series of overlapping echoes. The event saw scintillating performances by dancers of various schools which reverberated the entire atmosphere. The music accompanists performed live as a group of 12 performers stole the hearts of the viewers. Mrs. Jayashree Tambe enlightened the audience with her thought provoking words. She presented trophies to the best three presentations which were The Emerald Heights International School, The Shishukunj International School and Prestige Public School.

To acuminate the singing talent of youngsters, Choithram School, Manik Bagh organized Inter School Qawwali event for students of classes III to V under the aegis of Reverberations on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at its premises. Some of the prestigious schools of the city that participated in the event were The Emerald Heights International School, Prestige Public School, National Public School, Guru Harkrishan Public School, The Shishukunj International School, Billabong High International School and host school Choithram School, Manik Bagh.

Mrs. Sapna Kekde, a renowned name in the field of music was the revered chief guest at the occasion. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Mrs. Sapna Kekre, Mr. Rajesh Awasthi, the School Principal and one participant of each school.  Mellifluous melody of Welcome Song by the school choir set the ball rolling for the performances.

12 leading schools of the city participated in the event, namely, Queens’ College, National Public School, Indus World School, Prestige Public School, Delhi Public School,  Pragya Girls School, The Shishukunj International School, Indore Public School, Global Indian International School,  Tirathbai Kalachand School, Choithram School, North Campus and host school Choithram School, Manik Bagh.

Mrs. Keran Bahadur, Principal Colonel’s Academy was the Chief Guest at the function. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, the School Principal and participants followed by a scintillating welcome dance by Montessori students of the host school.

Reverberations as the term suggests refers to a series of overlapping echoes. Captivating performances by the young dancers of various schools reverberated the entire atmosphere. It was a visual treat watching the tiny tots, dressed in appealing attires of eye catching hues, dancing to the tunes of music. The Chief Guest presented mementoes to all the participating schools along with certificates and gift hampers to all participants. She lauded the efforts of the students and teachers who had toiled to give such enrapturing presentations. Anamayo Awasthi of class II and Jamila Kalabhaiwala of Senior Montessori anchored the show eloquently.

 

 

Inter School Salsa Dance Event January 29, 2013

Jovial smiles and high spirits marked the inter school salsa dance event organized by Choithram School, Manik Bagh on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 for the children of classes I and II under the aegis of Reverberations . The dance floor was left open for some unbridled exuberance with tiny tots, dressed in appealing attires of eye catching hues, dancing to the tunes of music. Some of the schools that participated in the event were Vidyasagar School, Prestige Public School, Choithram School North Campus and Choithram School, Manik Bagh.

Young enthusiastic participants of various schools along with Choithram School Principal Mr. Rajesh Awasthi lit the ceremonial lamp.  Czech welcome dance by students of classes IV & V gave a befitting beginning to the event.

Junior School Head Boy, Head Girl, Cultural Prefect and Guest Prefects presented trophies to all the participating schools along with certificates. Yashaswini Joshi and Vatsal Nadkarni of class IV and V respectively anchored the show eloquently while Junior School Head Girl Reya Tanted proposed the vote of thanks.

The music accompanists performed live as a group of 10 performers stole the hearts of the viewers. Dr. Suchitra Harmalkar enlightened the audience with her thought provoking words.
